BitTorrent to Launch BTFS Protocol v.4.0 Beta

BitTorrent has released the BTFS v.4.0 Beta, introducing protocol improvements via BTIP-89, 90, and 91 to enhance the reliability and decentralization of its file storage network. Key features include support for dedicated storage provider nodes, smart contracts for metadata management, and on-chain governance mechanisms. The release is intended for testing only and is not yet a mainnet upgrade.
