On June 18, 2026, the Algorand Foundation published a quantum-resistant upgrade roadmap targeting quantum resistance by 2027. On September 9 it appointed former Chainlink executive William Herkelrath as CEO; earlier in the year the foundation returned to the US market, restructured its board, and supported Kraken's USDC listing.
Algorand Foundation's Future strategy and roadmap: Algorand will advance its quantum-resistant consensus and signature upgrades per the roadmap, strengthen institutional partnerships and stablecoin circulation, and keep improving developer tooling and ecosystem grants.
