BetDEX 소개
BetDEX is an onchain sports betting exchange that runs peer-to-peer rather than bookmaker style: users bet against each other, the platform only matches and settles, charging about 3% on net winnings, with odds set by supply and demand and settlement from result oracles.
It targets the high margin and account limits of traditional sportsbooks, where margins often exceed 5% and winners get restricted or banned. An exchange lets the market price outcomes with lower take and no limits on winners in principle. The practical constraints are liquidity and compliance: niche events have thin books that large orders move easily, and betting requires licenses in most jurisdictions, so a licensed operator serves a limited set of markets and user growth stays capped.

BetDEX opened its trading API to the public at the end of May 2026, letting developers pull market data and live prices and place orders programmatically via REST and WebSocket, with order-matching latency around 0.08s; beyond the standard 1% commission on net market profit there are no extra API fees, and a sandbox environment with API-key signup is provided. The move exposes the exchange's matching and liquidity to third-party apps and professional traders, marking BetDEX's shift from a proprietary front end toward composable infrastructure.
Future strategy and roadmap: Looking ahead, BetDEX plans to keep cutting matching latency, with an official target of bringing confirmation time steadily down from about 0.08s to roughly 0.01s, and to broaden its sports and prediction-market coverage. Built on the non-custodial, open-source, permissionless Monaco Protocol, the exchange aims to attract more third-party developers to build betting products, data and tooling on top of BetDEX Exchange, deepening liquidity and cross-app composability in decentralized sports betting.
