Milestones: The Jun-Aug budget proposal disclosed general availability of vTokenVoting (vDOT/vKSM holders can join OpenGov), Pharos LST launch-ready by end of August with full launch in early September by the Faroo team, and a BNC tokenomics upgrade per the 2026 roadmap, with collateral integration planned for Q4.
In January 2026, Bifrost deployed Runtime 23000, adding Snowbridge support for vETH, XCM generic types and AssetHub to SLPv2, and launched vDOT delegation voting that lets liquid stakers delegate governance with up to 6x conviction without giving up staking yield. TVL reached $44.08 million that month, vBNC staking rose 37% month over month, and total BNC staked passed 20 million. From February it adapted to the Polkadot DAP upgrade, cutting the vDOT unbonding period to 2 days, and renewed a 1 million DOT treasury loan for 12 months at about 3%, used only for vDOT staking and liquidity.
Bifrost's Future strategy and roadmap: Next it plans to ship Faroo's stPROS mainnet contracts and yield vault, adjust bbBNC settlement and penalty curves, add cross-chain price feeds to SLPv2, and extend vDOT liquidity incentives to more EVM chains.
