Bucket Protocol 소개
Bucket Protocol is a collateralized debt position protocol on Sui. Users deposit SUI, BTC, ETH and various liquid staking tokens as collateral and borrow the over-collateralized stablecoin BUCK against a protocol-set collateral ratio. Three modules support the system: a stability module that arbitrages when the price drifts, a liquidation buffer that absorbs seized collateral and returns it to the market once prices recover, and a redemption module that lets holders exchange for underlying assets at face value.
sBUCK is a deposit receipt that accrues yield over time when stablecoins are deposited, so users can earn interest without locking a position. BKT is used for governance votes and parameter changes, covering collateral ratios, liquidation penalties and the range of accepted collateral. The protocol later introduced USDB as a new stable asset together with a migration path, allowing BUCK holders to convert at a set ratio.
BUT has a total supply of 1 billion and can be staked as deBUT to gain governance rights and emissions.
On September 16, 2025, the team announced an upgrade of its native stablecoin BUCK to USDB, with one-click 1:1 migration starting in October, along with removal of the 0.3% one-time borrowing fee and of Recovery Mode, and a shift to protocol-led liquidations; the V2 contracts were audited by MoveBit, Hashlock and Quantstamp. On October 10 USDB briefly fell to $0.878 before returning to its peg. In October 2026, combined V1 and V2 TVL was about $30 million with cumulative fees of about $5.3 million, 99% of fees distributed to BUT stakers through the Well mechanism, and BUT circulating supply of about 422 million.
Bucket Protocol's roadmap focuses on growing borrowing scale through high-LTV collateral such as BTC and SUI, expanding the USDB savings pool and PSM swap depth, and continuing to absorb debt positions migrated from BUCK through asset-isolated markets.
Bucket Protocol charges a 0.3% swap fee on its swap interface, deducted from notional when users convert assets such as USDC into USDB, with the rate displayed directly on the trading panel.
