Cronos Labs

Cronos Labs is the ecosystem-building and incubation arm of the Cronos chain, doing three things: running an accelerator, issuing ecosystem grants and brokering technical and institutional partnerships. It works with early teams already on Cronos or clearly moving there, screening for a shipped product and fit with the chain's technical direction.

The accelerator runs as a remote, project-based programme over several months, covering technical onboarding, compliance, marketing and product design, with weekly reviews against mentors and a demo day at the end for outside partners. Grants are tiered across infrastructure, developer tooling and integrations, and require verifiable code and documentation as deliverables. Technically, Cronos is an EVM-compatible chain built on the Cosmos SDK with proof-of-authority consensus and interchain communication to Cosmos, so accelerator projects reach both Ethereum tooling and Cosmos liquidity. In recent years the group has shifted emphasis to payments, tokenised assets and AI applications, working with cloud providers on compute and model access.
