Crucible Labs 소개
Crucible Labs is an infrastructure team in the Bittensor ecosystem whose core product, Crucible Wallet, is a non-custodial browser wallet for TAO with Ledger hardware signing, aimed at holders who want exposure to decentralized AI networks without running validator infrastructure themselves. The operational pain it addresses is that as the number of subnets grew, manually splitting stake across dozens of them became tedious and hard to track. Its Smart Allocator runs the Core Alpha strategy, automatically redeploying staking rewards into the top 20 subnets through a proxy wallet with daily rebalancing, while principal stays in the user's own wallet. The team also validates on the network and publishes ecosystem research, shaping information and capital allocation across the ecosystem from both product and research angles.
In practice a delegator connects a wallet, picks a strategy and accumulates rewards daily, or switches back to custom allocation at any time; because Core Alpha only redeploys rewards and concentrates exposure in 20 subnets, accepting the default means handing subnet selection over to the strategy rules.
On September 9, 2026, Crucible Wallet arrived on iOS in the United States, having already shipped on Google Play and the Chrome Store. On September 16 the extension reached v2.1.1 with a rebuilt interface, unified balances, a Universal Swap, subnet discovery and support for 12- and 24-word seed phrases.
Built for Bittensor users, the Crucible Labs Smart Allocator routes Root staking rewards into the top 20 subnets daily, with the team recommending at least 15 to 20 TAO for a faster first allocation. The wallet has been audited by Vahalla Partners and supports Ledger hardware. On September 8, portfolio company ORO said it would join Y Combinator's Fall 2026 batch.
Crucible Labs aims to make the wallet the default entry point for TAO, extend subnet-level data, staking strategies and mobile features, and open it to more Bittensor-native apps.
