Major progress: On May 4 DeLorean Labs brought DMC natively to Solana, supported by the Solana Foundation and executed via the Wormhole-powered Sunrise bridge; Solana users can buy, stake and use DMC, participate in brand governance, and get early access to tokenized DeLorean vehicle drops.
Holder utility: On May 20 the team said increased liquidity, dynamic staking and governance features are coming, alongside several IP licensing partnerships to be announced; the lab also publicly urged the industry to shift from hype toward real-world utility and infrastructure.
On 4 May 2026 DeLorean Labs brought $DMC natively to Solana, with initial liquidity through Wormhole's Sunrise gateway and support from the Solana Foundation. Solana users can buy, hold and stake $DMC and get priority access to upcoming tokenised vehicle drops and brand governance votes.
On 6 October the Litecoin Foundation and DeLorean announced a partnership under which DeLorean Motor Company will accept LTC for its upcoming electric vehicles, alongside $DMC, with the two sides also cooperating on treasury management and joint events. On 24 June DeLorean publicly argued against short-term speculation, saying it would focus resources on on-chain vehicle reservations, its marketplace and FLUX analytics.
DeLorean Labs's Future strategy and roadmap: The priority now is actual vehicle delivery. According to the company, the DeLorean Protocol will handle reservations, a secondary marketplace and full-lifecycle vehicle data, with $DMC used for staking, governance and vehicle payments. No production or delivery schedule for the Alpha5 has been published, and FLUX and drive-to-earn are not yet usable products.
