Eclipse 소개
Eclipse is an Ethereum Layer 2 that runs the Solana Virtual Machine as its execution environment. Transactions are ordered and executed on Eclipse, settlement is anchored to Ethereum, data is published to Celestia, and users pay gas in ETH while running Solana-style programs, aimed at teams that want Solana applications plugged into Ethereum liquidity. It is a general-purpose L2 rather than an app chain, keeping SVM account and contract semantics, with assets entering and leaving through the official bridge. The sequencer posts batches to a contract on Ethereum at fixed intervals, and Celestia stores the transaction data for anyone to replay.
Its trust structure is concentrated: the bridge contracts are controlled by two multisigs requiring three of four and three of five signers, upgrades carry no timelock, and a single operator sequences blocks, which is why L2BEAT assigns it no rollup stage. Bithumb delisted ES on 20 July 2026, after the foundation shifted the token's role to Human API and confirmed ES as the only token, with a July cliff unlock releasing about 157 million tokens.

Unlock and delisting risk: A July 16 cliff released about 157 million ES, one third of insider holdings and more than the then-circulating supply; Bithumb and Coinone placed ES on delisting watchlists, and the price hit an all-time low near $0.0029.
On 13 January 2026 Eclipse Labs launched Human API, a marketplace where AI companies and agents pay people for data and tasks, starting with voice recording collected on phones. The team's centre of gravity has since shifted to applications, and by June the foundation said the app had passed 100,000 users.
The token story was more turbulent. On 9 June the foundation rewrote tokenomics to raise the free float to 24%, with 29% for ecosystem and development, 16% for contributors and 31% for early supporters and investors, and confirmed it had sold part of its treasury to extend runway. A cliff on 16 July released about 156.6 million ES at once, more than the entire circulating supply at the time, and the price fell to a record low. Bithumb flagged ES with an investment warning on 5 June and ended support on 20 July. The network keeps running, with peak production throughput reported near 9,000 TPS.
Eclipse's Future strategy and roadmap: ES is now described as an incentive medium for Human API, with the team exploring instant onchain payouts, higher earnings for contributors paid in ES and higher earnings for stakers, none of which is live yet.
