Ecofrontiers 소개
Ecofrontiers is a research and small advisory practice that has worked since 2023 on tokenising natural capital, writing and designing methodology for teams preparing to put carbon, biodiversity and watershed restoration on-chain. The hard part of natural capital is not issuance but measurement and attribution: the same forest yields materially different sequestration figures under different methodologies, and double counting and permanence discounts lack a common treatment. Its work is that accounting, setting out a layered environmental finance framework that maps remote sensing, plot data and registry retirements onto issuance and retirement of tokens.
It incubated Regen Atlas, an open map on Celo indexing green assets by location and filterable by type and jurisdiction, covering carbon, water and biodiversity assets from several issuers; that project has spun out to its own team, with Ecofrontiers participating as co-founder and researcher. Its role is method supplier: it issues no assets and takes no custody.
On April 10, 2026, Ecofrontiers' Regen Atlas (an open-source, MIT-licensed registry of tokenized green assets) won first place in two tracks at Protocol Labs' PL_Genesis, recognized for its existing code and its extension into digital-rights infrastructure. Live since 2023, Regen Atlas has indexed more than 500 tokenized green assets across 17 chains and 185 bioregions.
Ecofrontiers focuses on tokenization and registration of green assets such as carbon credits and biodiversity, and introduced an 'Interspecies Parliament' AI-agent framework that coordinates capital allocation weighted by ecological standing.
Future strategy and roadmap: Ecofrontiers plans to keep expanding Regen Atlas' asset indexing and cross-chain provenance, refine the AI-agent governance layer, and advance more real green assets on-chain with impact verification.
