LlamaPay 소개
LlamaPay is an on-chain streaming payments protocol that accrues salaries, grants and subscriptions by the second and lets recipients withdraw at any time, serving DAOs, on-chain teams and scheduled token payouts. Lump-sum transfers cannot express pay that accrues over time, so recipients either draw everything early or wait for the period to close, leaving payroll cycles and capital use out of step for distributed teams.
A payer deposits tokens and sets amount and frequency, the contract accrues a withdrawable balance by block time, and opening a stream costs roughly 69,000 gas; a shortfall converts to recorded debt instead of halting, resuming once topped up. Each stream stores payer, payee, rate and window, with one stream per pair updated rather than duplicated, and the non-upgradeable contract sits at the same address across EVM chains using 20-decimal internal accounting to limit rounding.
On June 15, 2026, DefiLlama published a dedicated research report on LlamaPay, disclosing that streaming contracts held about $1.3 million in crypto while token vesting contracts held more than $10 million, with Arbitrum accounting for a large share of the vesting side. In the month covered by the report, 56 organizations paid more than 200 employees through the protocol, who collectively claimed just under $950,000, an average of about $154 per claim.
The same report listed Arbitrum, Curve, CoW Swap, Yearn and DefiLlama itself among LlamaPay's adopters, with Ethereum hosting the most paying organizations and Arbitrum leading in claiming addresses. The contracts are non-upgradeable and carry no admin rights, and no new chain deployments or contract changes were publicly recorded during 2026.
The official LlamaPay X account has posted no original content for more than a year and no new roadmap was published in 2026; because the core contracts cannot be upgraded, further evolution depends mainly on ecosystem adoption and payroll volume, and no trackable new product milestones are visible in public information.
