LlamaRisk renewed with Curve in April 2026 through April 2027 but announced an early exit on May 29, 2026, ending all active risk work on June 30 and returning about 270,247 crvUSD of unvested funds to the DAO treasury, citing a structural shift in where it would concentrate resources.
During the 2025-2026 mandate LlamaRisk submitted 54 governance proposals, including 27 for LlamaLend, 10 for crvUSD and monetary policy and 7 for gauge management, secured a 250,000 OP grant to bootstrap LlamaLend v2 on Optimism, and drove the deprecation of underperforming Sonic markets, cutting related TVL exposure by roughly 50%. Curve DAO voted on September 2 to replace it with yRisk for crvUSD and LlamaLend.
Future strategy and roadmap: LlamaRisk said it will focus on its LlamaGuard risk infrastructure across valuation, verification and enforcement, and keep serving other lending and stablecoin protocols with parameter calibration, stress testing and real-time monitoring.
