Lumia 소개
Lumia is an Ethereum Layer 2 built on Polygon CDK. Execution is zkEVM-compatible, a single sequencer orders transactions, zero-knowledge proofs are verified on Ethereum, and data availability sits on Avail with a committee attestation, making it a validium; bridging runs through the shared AggLayer hub. A second product, Lumia Stream, routes depth from centralised and decentralised exchanges onto the chain, giving RWA issuance and DeFi a place to trade.
Customers are institutions that want to issue and trade tokenised assets onchain and DeFi applications that need deeper liquidity. Unlike general-purpose L2s, it keeps contract-level KYC whitelists for each RWA issuer while the base chain stays open to anyone; Stream pulls centralised order-book depth in as routed liquidity, reducing slippage on onchain pools. The single sequencer and Avail-based data availability are structural dependencies: if Avail stops serving data, chain state cannot be rebuilt from Ethereum.
Buybacks: Governance proposal LGP-01 opened for voting on September 28 and passed on October 2 with 95% approval: the foundation treasury will buy back remaining HyperNode rewards (about 18 years' worth) at 0.09 USDT per token, a roughly 10% premium to the 30-day average; reclaimed LUMIA moves to the LFGI growth initiative without burning or new supply.
Milestones: LUMIA surged over 130% to $0.183 on October 12, with perp open interest around $129 million — about 4x its market cap — suggesting leverage-driven froth; it fell back to about $0.0756 by October 22.
On February 12, 2026, Lumia announced a partnership with C-Gold to bring about $43 million of physical gold on-chain and continued the LUMIA mainnet migration, strengthening the combination of RWA and DeFi. On June 18, 2026, Lumia published a research brief summarizing progress in liquidity aggregation and RWA asset issuance.
As a multi-chain liquidity-aggregating DeFi protocol, Lumia keeps integrating ecosystems such as BNB Chain, Ethereum, Polygon and Sonic, providing trading and issuance infrastructure for RWA and CeDeFi use cases.
Future strategy and roadmap: Lumia plans to expand the categories of RWA assets brought on-chain, deepen cooperation with issuers of physical assets such as gold, and optimize cross-chain liquidity aggregation.
