Morph 소개
Morph is an Ethereum Layer 2 positioned as a settlement chain for payments and consumer applications, using an optimistic zkEVM with Responsive Validity Proof: blocks are produced optimistically, and when challenged the sequencer must generate a ZK proof within the challenge window for the L1 contract to verify, cutting the mainnet challenge period to 48 hours. Execution, consensus and data availability are separated, and a decentralised sequencer network reduces single points of failure and MEV monopolisation. Developers get a fully EVM-compatible chain; merchants get Morph Rails, programmable interfaces for collection, on-chain FX, payroll and compliance checks. The ecosystem centres on stablecoin payments, RWAs and DePIN, and in June 2026 it integrated Beosin's KYT system for real-time risk scoring of addresses and transactions across the chain.
Compared with general-purpose L2s it pushes payment orchestration into the infrastructure layer, so merchants need not stitch together bridging and compliance; compared with payment chains it inherits Ethereum settlement security. Proof generation depends on the sequencer, exits to mainnet still wait out the challenge period, and fast withdrawals rely on third-party bridge liquidity.
On April 8, 2026 Morph activated its Jade upgrade on mainnet, adding the MorphTx transaction type with 32-byte reference keys and migrating the state trie from zkTrie to MPT for closer Ethereum equivalence; a sequencer consensus upgrade that rebuilds block production followed on July 28. Banxa integration went live on June 17 for fiat on and off-ramps in BGB, USDT0 and USDC, and on July 29 Morph introduced Tachyon, a trading-focused L1 design. The foundation burned 3,010,400 BGB in the second quarter of 2026.
Future strategy and roadmap: Stablecoin payments remain the centre of gravity in the second half of 2026, alongside the USD 150 million payment accelerator, Morph Payments merchant acquiring and native BGB staking, with Tachyon tested for high-frequency trading workloads.
