Quant 소개
Quant builds cross-ledger interoperability and tokenisation infrastructure. Its Overledger product uses gateways and APIs to connect public chains, permissioned networks and legacy banking systems into one orchestration layer, so applications can read and write across ledgers without changing the underlying stack. Fusion converges cross-chain messages and asset transfers into a shared settlement layer in rollup form, with contract templates for tokenised deposits, bonds and repo. The network runs on permissioned nodes with institution-oriented governance, revenue comes from licences and call fees, and deployments concentrate in central banks, clearing houses and commercial banks.
Connection follows existing systems: a core ledger, a permissioned network and a public chain each get a gateway connector, applications read and write through one interface, the orchestration layer translates requests, and cross-chain legs settle in Fusion. Tokenised deposits, bonds and repo ship as templates whose parameters institutions fill in. The Fusion rollup went live on mainnet in June 2026.

Major progress: The Fusion Rollup mainnet went live in June, claiming 74 public and private chains connected. In late September, US clearing house TCH picked Quant to build its tokenized deposit network, opening to participating banks in H1 2027. At Sibos in September, Quant and Murex demonstrated a tokenized Treasury repo, with no real volume yet.
Token mechanics: There is no buyback, burn or staking yield. Supply is 14.61 million with 99.6% circulating, and net supply grew 0.08% between mid-July and mid-October; one reserve wallet moved 12,000 QNT out on October 6 and 10. Overledger licences can now be paid in US dollars, weakening mandatory token demand.
In 2026 Quant's Overledger moved into regulated banking. On September 24 seven UK banks in the GBTD project—Barclays, HSBC UK, Lloyds, Monzo, Nationwide, NatWest and Santander—completed the first live customer tokenized-deposit transactions on Quant's platform, including two remortgage completions and a P2P marketplace payment; the same day The Clearing House selected Quant as the interoperability and transaction-management layer for its On-Chain Money initiative linking RTP and CHIPS, expected to open in the first half of 2027. Quant's Fusion Rollup mainnet went live on June 2, and on October 1 QNT became tradable on Solana via the Sunrise bridge and Raydium.
Future strategy and roadmap: Quant will launch a trusted-node staking program for Fusion Rollup and support the US Clearing House TCH on-chain money initiative opening in H1 2027, linking RTP and CHIPS for real-time settlement. It also deepens integration with the UK GBTD banks and US tokenized-deposit projects, extending Overledger to more regulated banking systems and bridging QNT to Solana.
Quant was founded in 2015 by Gilbert Verdian, who remains chief executive. He spent two decades in information security, serving as chief information security officer at Vocalink, the Mastercard-owned clearing house behind UK payments, and holding security architecture roles at EY, HSBC and in UK government, before initiating in 2015 the work that became the ISO/TC 307 blockchain standards committee. Co-founder Colin Paterson, a security technologist, has long been chief technology officer, shaping Overledger's architecture and sitting on its board, while co-founder Paolo Tasca founded the UCL Centre for Blockchain Technologies and co-authored the Overledger white paper. The team is drawn almost entirely from payments and large institutions: chief product officer Martin Hargreaves spent nearly thirteen years at Vocalink and holds clearing patents, chief commercial officer Lenna Russ owns bank relationships, and head of innovation Luke Riley leads central bank and standards work, with Verdian and Paterson owning company and technology respectively.
