Which traditional assets have been tokenized? A comprehensive overview of the on-chain stock world.

"What traditional assets are already on-chain?" — This is the first question that every researcher entering this field must answer, but the complete answer is not found in the popular rankings: beyond the leading assets, there are also a large number of long-tail assets covering sectors such as technology, finance, consumption, and healthcare. Clarifying the asset universe provides a reliable sample framework for all subsequent research.

Who is this article suitable for?

  • Research teams that need to establish a sample library of tokenized assets;
  • Media authors writing industry reviews who need to cover the full picture;
  • Investment analysts assessing the breadth of the sector.

Inventory using three filters

Filter one: Asset class. In the tokenized asset dashboard the Ticker list is filtered into four categories: "real stocks / tokenized stocks / ETF spot / stock contracts." First, determine the boundary of the form you want to study—mixing the four categories can lead to unclear standards, so classify first and then count.

Filter two: Sector labels. Use the asset label map to see the industry distribution: how many assets are there in growth stocks, large-cap stocks, AI, semiconductors, healthcare, etc., and how do they perform? The sector distribution itself is a clue—such as whether the weight of tech stocks is too high or whether traditional industries are underrepresented, all of which are reference dimensions for observing "how far tokenized assets have come."

Filter three: Coverage depth. For each asset within the sample frame, record two numbers: the number of suppliers and the transaction volume tier. By crossing these two dimensions, the asset universe can be divided into three layers: "multiple suppliers active," "single supplier active," and "watchlist," facilitating layered processing during research. Taking QQQ as an example, its multi-issuer version and cross-market data are displayed side by side on the detail page, which is an example of "coverage depth" verification.

Inventory output suggestions

The deliverable suggestion is a sample table with timestamps: Ticker, Name, Category, Sector, Number of Suppliers, Transaction Volume Tier, and Associated Chain—this table serves as both the sample frame for subsequent quantitative research and the foundational infrastructure for team sharing. Source: RootData. Data as of November 3, 2026. Updated monthly for continuous tracking of market changes.

Usage restrictions

  • The inventory is bounded by the assets included on the platform; unlisted long-tail assets are not counted, and the actual universe may be larger—this boundary should be noted in the report; for standardization issues see Tokenized Asset FAQ ;
  • Data is point-in-time data, marked as Data as of.

Generate your first asset universe sample table

Open the tokenized asset dashboard , filter by the three filters and record the fields—after the inventory is completed, the method for measuring market size can be found in "How large is the market size of tokenized assets?", three articles belong to the tokenized asset sector of the RWA research series.

Tokenized stocks are considered RWA (Real World Assets). They include several subcategories, such as: 1. **Equity Tokens**: Represent ownership in a company. 2. **Debt Tokens**: Represent loans or bonds issued by companies. 3. **Real Estate Tokens**: Represent ownership or shares in real estate properties. 4. **Commodity Tokens**: Represent physical commodities like gold or oil. 5. **Art Tokens**: Represent ownership in artworks or collectibles.

"Tokenized assets" is a broad term that can encompass many things—but the first step in research is to distinguish: tokenized stocks, tokenized U.S. Treasuries, and tokenized gold, while similar in name, are three types of products with significant differences in product structure, holder structure, and trading venues. Mixing them together for statistics is a common classification issue in RWA research.
