AB 소개
AB is the modular public-chain ecosystem of AB DAO, made up of the EVM-compatible AB Core mainnet, the AB IoT sidechain for device data, and the AB Connect bridge. AB Core targets DeFi, payments and asset issuance with low transaction costs; AB IoT is built on NewChain with secp256r1 keys suited to lightweight device signatures and high-frequency telemetry, with prototypes including billing meters, self-service coffee machines, access control and safes; AB Connect moves assets between chains through decentralised relayers and REST interfaces with configurable fees and limits. AB Wallet uses MPC key sharding, gasless transactions and multi-chain accounts.
On the application side, AB DAO partnered in March 2026 with Nasdaq-listed Alpha Technology Group on AI and on-chain accounting for logistics, supply chain and enterprise management, and that month began a cross-chain recovery programme for more than 20,000 legacy BEP2 addresses. In April 2026 Binance enabled deposits and withdrawals of the USD1 stablecoin on AB Chain, and AEON Pay connected AB Chain assets to its merchant acceptance network. In May 2026 the Wall Street Journal reported that scrutiny of AB's partnership with World Liberty Financial extended to the funding sources of its counterparty.
Setbacks: On May 2, a Wall Street Journal investigation revealed AB's November 2025 partnership with World Liberty Financial, weeks after the US Treasury sanctioned figures behind AB's blockchain-themed Timor-Leste resort over alleged ties to the Prince Group pig-butchering network, sharply raising regulatory and reputational risk.
Progress: On Apr 30, Binance enabled direct deposits and withdrawals of the USD1 stablecoin on AB Chain; a partnership with AEON brought AB Chain assets and AB USD1 into AEON Pay, usable at over 50 million merchants worldwide; on Apr 3, a security hot-fix (AB Core v1.13.15) shipped with an RPC domain migration deadline of Apr 30.
On February 5, 2026, AB formed a strategic partnership with AEON under which AB Chain assets and the AB-USD1 stablecoin were integrated into AEON Pay, enabling scan-to-pay at more than 50 million merchants worldwide and connecting AB on-chain assets to offline commerce at scale for the first time.
Future strategy and roadmap: Next it plans to expand AB Finance's lending, staking, trading and yield aggregation modules, advance RWA tokenization and cross-chain liquidity, list $AB on more centralized and decentralized exchanges, and build AB IoT into a dedicated sidechain for device data and off-chain asset interactions, alongside stablecoin reserve audits and multi-jurisdiction legal structuring.
