Aleo is a privacy-focused Layer1 using an off-chain execution, on-chain verification ZK proof model, with its own Leo language, snarkVM and snarkOS. It solves the loss of privacy from transparent public-chain transactions through a zero-knowledge proof system that lets users join DeFi and payments while protecting data; its ecosystem's privacy stablecoin USDCx integrates institutional wallets for shielded ZK transactions, bringing privacy to stablecoins and payments.

On October 19 V22 took effect at height 22,962,000, raising the mapping limit to 128 per program and making private transfers about 8% faster on CPU.
