Bitway 소개
Bitway is a Bitcoin-compatible PoS Layer1 renamed from Side Protocol, targeting on-chain asset management and cross-chain liquidity with products like Bitway Earn. It solves the difficulty of moving Bitcoin liquidity into other ecosystems and the lack of a unified on-chain asset-management entry point, securing the network with a PoS consensus and using the Hyperlane cross-chain messaging layer to flow BTC liquidity outward, while dropping WASM to cut execution complexity.
Bitway's low circulating share amplifies price swings around new supply and listing events, with its market performance easily driven by exchange listings; its Bitcoin-compatible positioning is differentiated, but the PoS Layer1's synergy with the Bitcoin ecosystem still needs real users and asset-management scale, and its cross-chain bridges depend on external messaging layers for security.

At 08:00 UTC on March 2, 2026 Bitway completed its token generation event on BNB Chain, with BTW debuting on Binance Alpha, testnet points converted at 200 tokens per point and an airdrop run through Binance Wallet that drew 65,850 claimants averaging about 1,000 tokens each. An earlier $4.444 million seed round was led by TRON DAO Ventures with HTX Ventures participating, following backing from YZi Labs' EASY Residency.
Binance listed a BTW/USDT perpetual on June 4. Booster Earn Season 5 opened on August 19 with a $200,000 BTW pool running to October 2, while a parallel staking programme offered 8% base APR in USDT plus 4% in platform points; the price reached a high near $0.75 on August 19, more than 40 times the $0.0091 low of March 3. A September on-chain investigation found that 44 new wallets received 196 million BTW in a single transfer the day after the airdrop opened, more than all claimants combined, with nearly all of it reaching Bitget and HTX deposit addresses within a week.
Future strategy and roadmap: Bitway's roadmap is really an identity switch: from a yield and lending product on BNB Chain into Bitcoin-native financial infrastructure carried by its own Bitway Ledger, with BTW moving from a pass that grants product access to a staking, gas and governance asset. It puts yield, non-custodial BTC lending and payments on one chain, positioned against Ethena's synthetic dollar yield, Babylon's Bitcoin staking and Lombard's wrapped-BTC liquid staking, arguing that FROST threshold signatures and native UTXO avoid custody and bridge risk. Success depends on whether institutional capital pays for a new chain rather than another yield product.
