Cortex 소개
Cortex Labs is a blockchain project aimed at on-chain AI, described by the project as the first decentralised world computer capable of running AI and AI-powered dApps on the blockchain. Its Cortex Virtual Machine is EVM-compatible with added support for on-chain AI inference, executing nontrivial models on the GPU instead of the CPU, and the deterministic inference engine Synapse guarantees identical inference results across heterogeneous computing environments.
At the contract level, Cortex adds machine learning support to smart contracts and dApps, letting developers use Solidity together with off-the-shelf models on the Cortex storage layer to build AI-enhanced applications, while the project frames itself as fostering an open-source ecosystem that rewards AI researchers for sharing models. The project also lists ZkMatrix, a zkRollup Layer 2 that aggregates batch transitions on the side chain into single main-chain transactions to raise throughput and cut the Endorphin fee per transaction, plus a blockchain explorer, wallet, mining and node-running tools.
Bithumb announced on November 28, 2025 that CTXC trading would end on December 29 and withdrawals on January 29, 2026, and MEXC delisted CTXC on June 16, 2026, compensating holders at 1 CTXC = 0.0009127 USDT and ending all support. By October 13, 2026 CoinGecko showed no active CTXC trading pairs, and circulating market value had fallen to roughly $200,000.
Development continues at the client level: the CortexTheseus client shipped version 1.10.71 in November 2025 and keeps merging upstream code, and the website, block explorer and ZkMatrix layer-2 pages remain online, but no mainnet upgrade, AI inference network or ecosystem announcement appeared in 2025–2026. Future strategy and roadmap: no new public roadmap has been released; visible work is limited to client maintenance and upstream merges, while ZkMatrix and CVM material remains unchanged in existing documentation, with no new inference network or ecosystem plans disclosed.
