DigiByte is a long-running public chain launched in 2014 that uses an unspent transaction output model and five mining algorithms, positioned for fast, low-cost payments and utility. Short block times and low fees suit small transfers and content tipping. The x402 Agent Payments upgrade, live by July 19, lets AI agents make automatic payments and notarize outputs on-chain.
