Keep Network 소개
Keep Network is a privacy and cross-chain infrastructure project dating from 2017 whose core product tBTC uses off-chain Keep nodes running threshold ECDSA to map BTC 1:1 onto Ethereum. Nodes post KEEP and ETH collateral, and a random beacon draws signing groups from the pool, with threshold signatures ensuring no single node can move custodied assets alone; depositors mint tBTC against a BTC address, redemption is broadcast cooperatively, and under-collateralisation triggers liquidation.
It addresses custody trust when Bitcoin enters DeFi: unlike centralised wrapped bitcoin there is no single custodian, and unlike fixed multisig the signing group rotates by round. In 2022 Keep merged with NuCypher into Threshold Network, tBTC moved to Threshold nodes, KEEP holders migrated proportionally into T, and the original network's separate governance folded in.
Keep Network's tBTC surpassed $1 billion in cumulative Wormhole bridge volume in February 2026; on April 15 the tBTC mint fee was cut to 20 bps, with revenue accruing to the T token (Threshold) rather than KEEP. KEEP, an early privacy network, merged into the Threshold ecosystem in 2022.
Keep Network's Future strategy and roadmap: Keep's assets and tBTC will continue leveraging Threshold and Wormhole to grow cross-chain BTC circulation, optimize the mint-fee structure, and maintain the decentralized custody network.
