Polymer 소개
Polymer brings Cosmos's inter-blockchain communication protocol to Ethereum rollups. It runs its own OP Stack chain acting as a hub, maintaining a ZK light client for every connected chain: the source chain commits a packet to a Merkle tree, a relayer submits the packet and a state-root proof to Polymer, the contract verifies it and forwards the packet to the destination chain's IBC module, replacing a multisig committee with cryptographic verification. A chain needs one channel to the hub to reach every connected chain.
The architecture also carries ICS-20 asset transfers, with zero-slippage USDC bridging as its main use case and cumulative bridged volume in the billions of dollars. Clients are rollup teams, stablecoin issuers and market makers. Unlike LayerZero-style designs, the trust assumption collapses to the proof system and Ethereum finality rather than an independent signer committee.

In February 2026 Polymer and the crosschain aggregator LI.FI launched a zero-slippage USDC bridge on Jumper that moves stablecoins one-to-one across 16 chains, settling in six to ten seconds at about 0.02% cost. In May LI.FI Intents named Polymer a recommended settlement system to speed up solver reimbursement, and Everclear's netting engine adopted its proof and execution interfaces.
According to disclosure on 1 October 2026, cumulative transfers relying on Polymer reached $3.74 billion, with monthly volume rising from about $100 million in December 2025 to more than $500 million in September 2026. The production network spans over 45 blockchains and generates proofs for Circle's Arc, Plasma, Stable and Robinhood Chain, averaging under half a second on Robinhood Chain.
Future strategy and roadmap: Polymer will extend the Prove API to more non-EVM networks and offchain payment flows, deepen settlement work with intent solvers and stablecoin issuers, and push proof latency below one second to support agentic payments.
