Secret Network 소개
Secret Network is a privacy-focused Layer 1 that uses trusted execution environments to keep contract inputs, state and calls encrypted by default, with only authorized addresses able to read plaintext. It addresses the fact that on public chains balances, transfer amounts and contract parameters are all visible, making confidential business logic impossible.
The mechanism runs contracts inside hardware enclaves so node operators cannot read plaintext from memory, with cross-chain interaction through encrypted channels and bridges. That route stakes security on hardware trust, an assumption steadily weakened by side-channel and enclave research since 2025; in July 2026 the team announced it would retire its own chain and migrate to Arbitrum, leaving existing privacy contracts and ecosystem to be rehoused. The trade-off between privacy and auditability is a lasting issue for such networks.

Secret Network went through major security and governance events in 2026. On June 10, the Axelar-Secret Network IBC bridge was exploited for about $4.67 million, stemming from a modified ICS-20 contract on the Secret side that failed to validate source channel and denomination path, going undetected for roughly nine days. On July 7, SCRT Labs proposed migrating SCRT from Cosmos to Arbitrum (a September 1 snapshot turning it into an ERC-20), citing higher risk to legacy code under AI-assisted attacks; but the proposal (No. 360) was rejected on July 28 with only about 2.1% approval, and the community explicitly chose to remain on Cosmos.
Secret Network's Future strategy and roadmap: The community then passed Proposal 365: keep the Cosmos mainnet unchanged with no migration, and fund a new foundation, ecosystem fund, validator program and compensation for past-incident victims through a one-time large supply expansion (existing holders falling to about 25% of the new total); Binance delisted SCRT on September 3, 2026. On the technical side, SCRT Labs integrated Intel Trust Authority verification into every SecretVM ('verification by default') on May 18, and struck confidential-AI partnerships with AITECH Cloud and Morpheus in August. The roadmap centers on SecretVM plus Intel attestation to build verification-by-default confidential computing and confidential-AI infrastructure, continuing to operate on Cosmos.
