On May 20, 2026, Sorted closed a $4.4 million seed round co-led by Tether and Gnosis, with participation from Movement, Angel Invest and founders of RWA.io. Of the total, $3.4 million came as equity and $1 million as strategic support from Vox Solutions. The proceeds fund expansion in sub-Saharan Africa and South Asia.
In 2026 Sorted added gasless USDt transfers across Ethereum, Polygon, BNB Chain and Celo, and launched fiat off-ramps in Kenya and Nigeria paying out to mobile money and bank accounts. Its ambassador network expanded to Kenya, Nigeria, Tanzania and Cameroon. The app is about 10MB, has passed 500,000 downloads and reaches more than 160 countries.
Sorted plans to deepen integrations with telecom operators and mobile money platforms, widen stablecoin remittance and top-up card coverage in emerging markets, and keep lowering the barrier on entry-level feature phones.
