Flare Network 소개
Flare is an EVM-compatible Layer 1 whose purpose is to bring off-chain data into onchain contracts. Two primitives are built in: the Flare Time Series Oracle, where roughly a hundred data providers submit quotes and a stake-weighted median supplies contracts with a price series that needs no external intermediary, and the State Connector, which attests to transaction outcomes on other chains through witness voting so contracts can read payments settled on Bitcoin or the XRP Ledger. Together they underpin FAssets, letting assets from non-programmable chains enter Flare on an overcollateralised basis.
Its users are therefore not retail traders but protocols needing cross-chain state and price feeds, and issuers bringing BTC or XRP into DeFi. Unlike a general bridge it moves no assets, reaching consensus on source-chain state before minting a representation locally; unlike oracle networks the data is supplied natively by the validator set, with fees denominated in FLR and returned to stakers. In April 2026 FIP.16 passed with 98.06% support, cutting annual inflation to 3% and creating FIRE to buy back and burn with protocol revenue.

In 2026 Flare turned XRP into programmable working capital. FAssets v1.3 went live on mainnet on 14 May, removing agent selection from FXRP minting so that a tagged or memo-labelled XRP Ledger payment, including an exchange withdrawal or custodian transfer, becomes the mint path; Flare reports more than 155 million FXRP minted to date. Morpho and Mystic brought modular XRP lending to Flare on 3 February, and Flare Smart Accounts v1.3 on 28 July collapsed the path from XRP to yield into a single signature.
Token economics were retuned in parallel: the v1.14.0 hard fork on 14 July cut annual inflation from 5 to 3 per cent, raised the base fee from 25 to 500 gwei and created FIRE, a protocol-owned treasury that buys back and burns FLR using network revenue such as FAssets fees. Firelight, backed by staked FXRP, launched on 6 October.
Flare Network's Future strategy and roadmap: After FAssets v1.3 and Firelight staking, Flare will deploy confidential compute from Songbird to mainnet and release FAssets v2 to expand FXRP minting and collateral scenarios. The team is broadening XRPFi with collateral, lending and options, pushing XRP programmable working capital into more protocols, and using FBTC to access Bitcoin. Through the FIRE treasury it buys back and burns FLR with network revenue, tying activity to supply contraction, while continuously refining the Flare Smart Accounts XRP-to-yield single-signature experience.
